Ah it finally feels like Autumn has arrived. The trees have the golden edge to their leaves and the briskness of the wind and overcast skies draw me into the desire for evenings at home cuddled in a blanket. The building excitement for the holidays, it’s a time to see family, and create lots of delicious treats! I’m so excited!
As a new season merges from one to the next, as does life. Kyle and I have been spending the last three months of married life, merging our lives from single to married, merging household, bank accounts, schedules, and so on. Family changes, have meant my own family is living now in different states away, and the adjustment that comes with that, and to our close family. We are learning to build on our foundation of marriage as its now just the two of us. So now the white dress is hidden away in the closet, the last of the wedding decorations put into storage and the house is starting to look like a home as we sell what is duplicate or unneeded left on craigslist. I’m enjoying some what calmer life, as we make plans for the next season.
Kyle will be done with school by Christmas. I hope to become more knowledgeable in Photoshop skills, and on the side continue my progression through scrapbooking now that I have my art area in the house set up and organized. We’ve enjoyed small get togethers with friends, delighting in the new fire pit in the backyard, as well as a couple of camping trips into the mountains. And some playing with photography, as we played with paints. Nothing overly new going on in life, but that is wonderful after the craziness of the last season of hustle and bustle.
We are keeping life calm, slower, and restful. So right now it’s a small pause of life, as we merge into the next season. Who know's what's next!
