Flexible! 30 weeks!

Here is Baby Bear showing off their mad flexible skills! :) the Head is to the right, the big white area in the center is their foot! Folded up to their ear, being grasped by their hand! Love it!

I think to prove to mommy I still need to remain flexible through this pregnancy. There have been many ups and downs through it all. The up's being so excited for this baby! And having my dreams of being a mom actually come true! then those downs with pregnancy...Being sick for well this whole pregnancy, stomach sick at no rhyme or reason sometimes, to the latest Gestational Diabetes (which means strict diet, walks every day and testing my blood sugar levels 4 times a day with a pin prick to the finger and then ending with insulin shots every night) there are lots of worry with this added to first pregnancy already. We are super excited, and I can’t wait till I hold this little one in my arms. Fears of medical trouble and not being able to do the best for my baby are hard. Scares with lots of tears and fears shared with my husband, but we are getting through with God's extra measure of grace, and still joy intacted.

A blessings has come in an opposite way then expected where I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism the same time we found out we were pregnant. I had suffered with headaches for 4 years, and began to think it was all in my head! ;) With that came a small daily medication and voile! The world was no longer fussy and the other pains went away…then came the new ones with baby. :) Thankfully the years of enduring the other pains with no results brought about a comfort these though have a reason and will end in 9 months, with an amazing result and allowing for endurance I didn’t know I had already acquired. Now, with the recent GD extra to this pregnancy, added ultrasounds and weekly visits are added to routine. And here is the blessing part… the thyroid is compensating, or rather negating some of the aspect of Gestational diabetes, meaning Baby is perfect size they are suppose to be! It doesn’t fully get rid of the GD, but it does allow for baby to stay on track weight wise and hopefully this will continue!

So off for more planning and getting ready for the big arrival! and I can sleep a little more in comfort that Baby Bear is growing at the right size and weight....a whole 3lbs! 10 more weeks give or take their real arrival time...the excitement mounts and anticipation grows daily!
